About Angie Oberhelman, LMHC, LPC, LFYP-1, RYT-200
For more than fifteen years I have helped youth and adults to make their lives healthier, to make their choices more informed, and to make their stress levels plummet. She is a licensed professional counselor and a yoga teacher. I have brought yoga/mindfulness into my personal life practice almost 20 years ago and in my professional practice over 10 years ago to help individuals become more self-aware in their mind and body, so they can realize their full potential. My goal for everyone is Emotional Wellness. I am a LifeForce Yoga® Practitioner Level 1 and RYT-200. LifeForce Yoga® is intentionally designed to work with and manage the mood. The practices support individuals in self-regulation and many of the yoga techniques can be done in a chair, in bed, and do not require a yoga mat. I combine these techniques in my talk therapy with clients, if they choose. In addition, I provide balancing and calming meditative/yoga sessions that focus on breathing, intentions, imagery and other self-regulation techniques. I wholeheartedly believe in these practices as they have become a daily part of my life.
I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology from New York University, a Masters in Guidance from Fordham University, and a degree in Counseling Psychology from Fordham University. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), New Jersey State Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She is certified in Holistic Stress Management, and did her LifeForce Yoga® Practitioner Level 1 at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, Massachusettes with founder Amy Weintraub and did my RYT-200 training with Three Sisters Yoga in New York, NY.
I live in Madison, NJ and have a private practice in Chatham, NJ and now….happy and excited to be part of the Jolie Family to continue to bring Emotional Wellness to others!
