BREATHE .... notice your breath. Anxious? Breathe in. Breathe out. Scattered? Breathe in. Breathe out. Nervous? Breathe in. Breathe out. Overwhelmed? Breathe in. Breathe out. Stressed? Breathe in. Breathe out. Worried? Breathe in. Breathe out. Panic? Breathe in. Breathe out. Fearful? Breathe in. Breathe out. Butterflies? Breathe in. Breathe out. Although meditation can seem complicated and difficult - at the root it is simply paying attention to your breath. Thoughts? You have too many thoughts? I am glad to tell you they too are part of the process. Thoughts strengthen, over time, your ability to concentrate by offering roadblocks to the concentration.
Start here, and then come to class. In class you will experience sample mediations, learn how to use your breath to calm or energize you; and receive frequent prompts to help you more easily meditate. If you can't sit - recline, stand, whatever is comfortable. 30 minutes too long? Meditate for a bit and then let it simply be recharging time. Either way, you will be refreshed, calm, and more focused when you leave. Love, Julia xo |
