Beauty, Wellness, Recipes, Food
Yesterday, dinner was over, kids in bed, Thanksgiving was awesome, and I had free time. But, I was also cranky - not wanting to prep for tomorrow, unable to unwind, a bit agitated.
Then reviewing the prior week I saw I had not taken self care time. I had exercised, I ate well, but I had not spent time with myself. Self care is a ritual of renewal. It renews your stamina, your patience, your focus, your drive. When you are busy it is easy to overlook, it goes unnoticed. But once there is a quiet moment, the feeling of unrest comes to the surface. For physical exhaustion you need to sleep, for mental and emotional exhaustion the rest which restores is self care. Self Care 101
For me, I decided to blow out my hair, give myself a facial and pedicure. I felt very calm and zen at the end. Better yet, I woke up feeling really pulled together. And although the morning was rushed, I feel good and clear because through self care I renewed the space and energy to take care of everyone else. This December schedule in time for self care. You don't need to spend money or have a lot of time. Regularly 10-15 minutes of caring for yourself, focusing on you is all you need to end December and greet 2019 glowing. Comments are closed.
